It has been found that customers who registered their appliances give their contact details to manufacturers. These particulars are then typically sent to third party warranty providers who in turn offer their products to consumers by post, email or telephone and in some cases, all three.
Conversely, and from its inception, The Appliance Register aims to be the UK’s #1 independent site for consumers to register their appliances, safe in the knowledge that absolutely none of their data will be passed to any third parties whatsoever. It is essential for the Appliance Register to maintain its high quality of safety for people in their homes, but it is just as important to keep its clientele’s data protected. The Appliance Register completely understands and appreciates confidentiality.
Another unique feature of the Appliance Register is having processes in place to ensure our client data is always current. We consider this to be a vitally important factor should we need to contact clients who have an appliance that is subject to a product safety recall. We absolutely acknowledge how important it is to have the ability to contact clients with a ‘faulty’ appliance which could potentially burst into flames with disastrous consequences.
